OREANDA-NEWS  The European Union needs to stop demanding that Georgia escalate its relations with Russia, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said on social media.

"In the midst of an armed conflict, no one, as Brussels has done, should demand that Georgia, which has gone through three wars, escalate with Russia," he wrote.

In addition, as Papuashvili noted, the European Union should also not sponsor extremism if it wants to be a peace project.
