OREANDA-NEWS  Hot weather with temperatures up to plus 33 degrees persists in the southern regions of the European part of Russia, while heavy precipitation and flooding are possible in the Krasnodar Territory and the republics of the North Caucasus, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told Interfax.

"The temperature in the south of the European part of Russia is very good, it will reach plus 28 - plus 33 degrees by the end of the week and early next week. The water temperature is remarkable: in the resorts of Crimea, it is mainly 25 degrees in Alushta, in Yevpatoria, in Feodosia. It's 26-27 degrees on the Black Sea coast," Vilfand said.

However, in the Krasnodar Territory, along with high temperatures, intense precipitation is predicted, which will lead to adverse events on the rivers. In particular, in Sochi and in the Sirius region, water levels in rivers are forecast to rise to unfavorable levels and flooding.

The situation will be similar in the regions of the North Caucasus. In particular, the rivers of North Ossetia are also predicted to reach the floodplain.

Heavy precipitation with possible flooding is also forecast in the regions of the Asian part of the country: in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the Kebezh River, in the Irkutsk Region, and in Yakutia on the Indigirka River.
