It became known about the advance of Russian troops at Chasova Yar

OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Armed Forces have advanced in the Chasova Yar area in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced by military analyst Andrei Morochko in his Telegram channel.
According to him, in a few days, Russian troops advanced a kilometer west of Grigorovka and the village of Kalinovo in the Artemovsky district of the DPR and took control of a number of forest plantations. He added that there is progress in Chasovoy Yar on the northern outskirts and in the city center. Marochko concluded that the main units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had been dislodged from the Steps of the Kramatorsk region of the DPR.
Earlier, the Ukrainian analytical resource DeepState stated that the promotion of the Russian Armed Forces in May was the largest since the beginning of 2025. The most successful areas for the Russian military were the Statsinovo and Sumy areas (at least 200 and 110 square kilometers, respectively).
Prior to that, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Russian units were improving their positions when taking control of populated areas of the republic, despite the massive use of drones by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, this situation is developing mainly in the Krasnoarmeysky and Konstantinovsky directions.
