OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law banning the placement of advertisements on the resources of organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia, according to the official portal of legal information.

The law prohibits the distribution of advertising on information resources of foreign or international organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia, public or religious associations or other organizations in respect of which a court has taken an effective decision to liquidate or ban, as well as on resources to which access is restricted in accordance with the law.

A similar ban already applies to advertising on the resources of foreign agents.

The law will come into force on September 1.
