Real wages in Russia increased by 9.1 percent over the year

OREANDA-NEWS Real wages in Russia increased by 11.3% year-on-year in December last year, and by 9.1% in 2024 as a whole, according to preliminary data from Rosstat.
Real wages are the average accrued wages adjusted for the rate of inflation.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, its growth was 9% year-on-year. At the same time, the average monthly accrued salary of employees of organizations (before taxes and including bonuses) in December last year was about 128.7 thousand rubles and increased by 21.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In total, it amounted to 87.9 thousand rubles for the year, which is 18.3% more than in 2023.
