OREANDA-NEWS  Employees of the Manzherok all-season ski resort conducted the final environmental clean-up in 2025, cleaning the coastline of the Katun River near the village of Manzherok in the Altai Republic. This was reported by the press service of the resort.

The clean-up was held within the framework of the federal project "Water of Russia". It became the third and final in a series of events aimed at preserving the nature of the Altai Mountains. The participants cleaned the water from plastic and branches on the coastal strip, and also collected large waste higher up the slope. The collected garbage was sent for disposal.

It is noted that the Katun water protection zone was not chosen for cleaning by chance — this place is the favorite location of "savage" tourists. After the end of the tourist season, there is especially a lot of garbage on the territory.
