In the early morning hours of Friday, September 26, the air temperature in Klin and Volokolamsk dropped to minus 0.2 degrees, in New Jerusalem it was minus 0.1 degrees. The temperature did not drop lower due to the wind, which prevented the cold from "stagnating" and cooling down even more, the forecaster explained. In Moscow, the temperature remained positive, but this night was the coldest in autumn — it was only 2.9 degrees at the VDNKh weather station.
Earlier, forecasters at the Hydrometeorological Center warned of a drop in temperatures to minus 4 degrees in Moscow and the Moscow region on the last night of September. On Tuesday afternoon, September 30, the air may warm up to plus 13 degrees. Mikhail Leus, chief specialist of the Phobos Weather Center, urged not to wait for snow yet, despite the cold snap.
