OREANDA-NEWS  The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is developing the possibility of subsidizing the construction of civilian water transport vessels, Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti in an interview.

"This is just a new support mechanism, which is currently under development. It is assumed that such a tool will work for one of the most important tasks – to achieve a competitive economic model for the construction and operation of the vessel for customers," the minister said.

At the end of August last year, Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, stated that Russia would continue to support both citizens and organizations who are engaged in hard work to ensure the country's maritime activities.
