OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has proposed to the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Turkey, Muhsin Shentürk, to create a working group to protect investors and businessmen of the two countries.

The meeting of the Prosecutors General of the two countries took place on Thursday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"The Turkish Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Bilgic, makes serious efforts to protect the interests of Turkish investors in our country, and we are pleased with his regular visits to the Russian Prosecutor General's Office. I propose to form an interdepartmental working group under the auspices of the Prosecutor General's offices of the two countries to consider appeals from Russian and Turkish entrepreneurs to overcome the problems they have," Krasnov said.

According to him, there is a continuous dialogue between Russia and Turkey on various aspects of cooperation in the criminal law sphere and on the protection of entrepreneurs' rights. In addition to prosecutors, representatives of the Interior Ministry, justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are involved in this work.
