OREANDA-NEWS  Russia does not accept any attempts to dictate terms to it, especially in the form of ultimatums, even if they are presented as peaceful initiatives. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, quoted by TASS.

"Of course, we note first of all that any attempts to make demands, especially ultimatums, are unacceptable to us," the diplomat replied, commenting on the statements of US President Donald Trump.

Ryabkov also stressed that the Russian side remains open to a diplomatic settlement of the conflict with Ukraine, but only on equal terms. According to him, Moscow expects that Washington and NATO will begin to take its position with "the utmost seriousness."

Earlier, Trump promised to impose tariffs of 100 percent against Russia and its trading partners if no peace agreement on Ukraine is reached within 50 days.

He also said that the United States and NATO have reached an agreement on the supply of weapons to Kiev, under which the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance will pay for weapons produced by Washington.
