OREANDA-NEWS State Duma Deputy Speaker Victoria Abramchenko appealed to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to take control of the situation at Rostselmash.
"I have asked Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, to take control of the situation at Rostselmash and develop a set of measures to stabilize its operation," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
Abramchenko said that Rostselmash is undergoing changes in personnel policy due to the current economic situation, including lower wages, forced vacations and transfers to lower-paid positions, which causes dissatisfaction among employees.
According to her, despite the objective difficulties faced by the agricultural machinery industry, it is necessary to ensure the social protection of factory workers. The Vice Speaker of the State Duma clarified that Rostselmash employs about 15,000 people who have obligations to their families and society.
In her address, she also asked Mishustin to instruct the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize weekly monitoring in the incident mode of the financial and economic performance of this enterprise, as well as to assess the impact of current macroeconomic factors on the development projects of the group's enterprises.
In addition, Abramchenko suggested that the Prime Minister instruct the authorized federal executive authorities to prepare coordinated proposals to ensure the stabilization of effective demand for domestic agricultural machinery, including through funds received from the budget from the payment of export customs duties on cereals and oilseeds.
