Politico newspaper reported on July 21 that the United States allegedly called on Ukraine to stop criticizing the Nord Stream 2 project. However, Ukraine will continue to oppose the project.

According to the Ukrainian expert, the deal between the United States and Germany on the Nord Stream 2 project will be a framework one; agreements on large investments in Ukraine should not be expected.

The administration of US President Joe Biden called on the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from expressing their position during the negotiations between Washington and Berlin on Nord Stream 2.
