Golden Apple introduces a self-developed "labor exchange"

OREANDA-NEWS The Golden Apple perfume and cosmetics retail chain has developed and is implementing a special machine learning-based platform for managing the work schedule of employees of stores, warehouses and a contact center, the company reports.
"The system has a built-in shift exchange: the manager places an offer, and employees using the uber model can respond to free slots. The exchange allows you to predict customer activity by the hour, calculate the need for employees and plan schedules. Access to it for employees works through mobile applications. In the app, employees can see their work schedule and leave suggestions for off-schedule shifts, and the manager can use these suggestions to strengthen the team. In addition, the application shows employees the fulfillment of their performance indicators and plan," the company explained.
In the future, the platform will allow distributing the workload among 11,000 employees. The pilot launch showed that the introduction of a shift exchange in retail increased the accuracy of shift planning by 10%, and work efficiency by 25%. In the near future, the platform will be implemented in the company's contact center and warehouses.
"Our shift exchange is an example of how technology can make employee work more convenient and business more efficient. The system doesn't just automate processes — it helps people flexibly set their work schedule and increase income, and companies manage resources more precisely," Ivan Kuzovlev, co—founder of the Golden Apple, said in a statement.
