OREANDA-NEWS The government of the Amur region has confirmed that more than 200 people and 34 pieces of equipment are currently working at the crash site of the AN-24 aircraft in the Tynda district.

The statement reads: «Investigative actions are currently being conducted at the site of the crash of the AN-24 aircraft in the Tynda district. The total number of personnel and equipment involved in the work is 205 people and 34 units.»

A video clip shows an Angara An-24 plane making a reserve lap in the Amur region. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

On Thursday morning, the AN-24 Angara passenger plane, en route from Blagoveshchensk to Tynda, lost communication. There were 43 passengers on board, including five children, and six crew members.
The plane crash resulted in the loss of all lives. The Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office have confirmed that the plane disappeared after going on a second lap during the landing in Tynda.

Subsequently, the wreckage of the aircraft was discovered 10 miles from Tynda, at the location where the aircraft lost contact. The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal investigation into the incident, which resulted in the loss of lives due to violations of aviation safety regulations. The Ministry of Aviation has established a commission to investigate the incident.

In response to the disaster, a government commission was formed under the leadership of Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin, on behalf of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The government has pledged to provide all necessary support and compensation to the families of the victims.
