OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin is receiving special envoy of the US President Steve Wickoff in the Kremlin on Friday, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the head of the Russian state, told reporters.

Footage of the beginning of the conversation was shown by the Rossiya 24 TV channel. On the Russian side, the meeting is also attended by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev, who previously spoke with Witkoff in Moscow.

This is the fourth meeting between Putin and Witkoff: the previous one took place on April 11 in St. Petersburg. The Kremlin assessed its results positively at the end of the negotiations. According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, during the conversation, which lasted more than four hours, the Ukrainian issue was discussed to a greater extent, but other topics of "both political and economic" nature were touched upon.
