OREANDA-NEWS. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on Thursday extended the special duties on Russian goods for a year - until December 31, 2022, the meeting was broadcast on the government's YouTube channel.

In 2015, the Ukrainian government introduced duties on most Russian goods, including diesel fuel. The tariffs were set at the maximum levels allowed by the WTO. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian duties apply to all goods from the Russian Federation, except for coal, coke, gasoline, liquefied gas and pharmaceuticals. According to the department, the amounts paid are sent to a special fund of the state budget, which will subsequently finance import substitution measures.

"In paragraph 1, the numbers and words" until December 31, 2021 "shall be replaced with the words and numbers" until December 31, 2022, "the resolution says.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to "neutralize the negative impact" on the Ukrainian economy as a result of the restrictive measures of the Russian Federation, in particular with respect to goods prohibited and restricted for export from Russia to the territory of Ukraine.
