Heavy rains flooded more than 3,700 houses in Makhachkala

OREANDA-NEWS More than 170 streets of Makhachkala and over 3,700 houses were flooded after prolonged rains on March 27-29, Mayor Dzhambulat Salavov said in his Telegram channel.
"Held an expanded meeting of the commission for the inspection of residential premises and property of citizens affected by heavy rainfall on March 27-29… As of April 2, flooding affected more than 173 streets of the city. 3,755 households and the same number of household plots fell into the flood zone," Salavov wrote.
According to him, more than 2,300 applications from the population have already been accepted. The mayor noted that clear algorithms for assistance to victims have been developed.
