OREANDA-NEWS  The North Atlantic Alliance is discussing easing the rules for the use of transferred weapons against Russia. This is reported by Sky TG24, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, this topic will be raised on October 15 in Brussels, where a meeting of NATO defense ministers will be held.

According to the source, the relaxation of the rules is necessary for a more effective organization of the defense of the eastern flank of the alliance, especially due to the launch of Operation Vostochny Sentry, which is considered as a testing ground for the elements of an integrated air defense system.

However, it is noted that the obstacle to this is the "national restrictions" imposed by each capital when transferring equipment to the disposal of the NATO command.

Earlier it became known that the EU's military assistance to Ukraine sharply decreased in the summer of 2025, despite NATO's initiative to purchase weapons from the United States for Kiev. It is specified that supplies decreased by about 57 percent.
