New Minister of Foreign Affairs appointed in Kazakhstan

OREANDA-NEWS Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Yermek Kosherbayev as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. This is reported in Telegram by the press service of the Kazakh leader.
"By decree of the head of state, Kosherbayev Yermek Bedelbaevich was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the publication says.
The previous Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, moved to the position of Tokayev's assistant for international investment and trade cooperation.
In early September, the Kazakh press, citing law enforcement sources, reported that Nurtleu and businessman Haji Hajiyev had been detained in Kazakhstan. Later, the press service of the diplomatic department denied the detention of the first.
