OREANDA-NEWS  Malian President Assimi Goita is expected to visit Moscow in June, said Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop.

"We are naturally looking forward to the official visit of our President Assimi Goita to Moscow in June," Diop said at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to him, the visit will strengthen relations between Bamako and Moscow.

"Regular contacts. Cooperation on the ground is developing well... I would like to thank the Russian Federation on behalf of Mali for the unwavering and constant support that you provide to us," Diop stressed.
