OREANDA-NEWS  The number of requests for the installation of landlines has increased in Russia, Mikhail Oseevsky, president of Rostelecom, told reporters, calling this state of affairs an "interesting phenomenon." This is reported by TASS.

"People realized that this is a very reliable and high-quality way of communication. It should be in every home," the top manager commented on the trend.

Oseevsky did not provide up-to-date statistics on applications from Russians for connecting home devices. He also noted that "many very respected people" want to get a landline telephone service.
