OREANDA-NEWS A house in Volgograd was flooded with boiling water due to an accident. The Telegram channel Baza drew attention to the situation in the Russian city.
The incident in apartment building number 16 on Sovetskaya Street occurred last night. A heating riser running through the attic burst in the building, flooding several apartments in two entrances. In one of them, the ceiling collapsed due to the incident. The footage taken by the residents of the affected apartment shows water dripping from the ceiling and chandeliers, as well as streaks on the walls and ceiling.
It is specified that among the victims of the flood are three Chinese students who rented an apartment in this building. At the moment, the owners are calculating the damage with the help of a management company and are afraid of an international scandal due to the foreign residents.
"According to our riser, it turns out that three apartments are flooded, and judging by the information in the house chat, the same picture is in the next entrance. The emergency service, of course, shut off the battery, but we spent the whole night bailing out the water, the ceiling collapsed in the apartment. (...) And we had three Chinese students living in our apartment — officially, under a contract, with registration. They are being evacuated now. We don't know how to communicate with the Chinese ambassador. It's an international scandal!" one of the residents complained. The homeowners are going to call appraisers and contact the district Investigative Committee and directly to Alexander Bastrykin.
The day before, a similar situation occurred in Kirov.: There, due to a pipe break, an apartment building in Murashinsky Lane was flooded with boiling water.
