OREANDA-NEWS In the Penza region, they wanted to completely ban the sale of vapes and smoking mixtures. This was stated by the governor of the Russian region Oleg Melnichenko in his Telegram.
"At a meeting of the government of the Penza region, I proposed, together with the prosecutor's office, to take the initiative to completely ban the sale of vapes and smoking mixtures in our region, as well as the introduction of administrative responsibility for their sale," the official wrote.
He instructed to prepare a draft law, and then submit it for consideration at the December session of the regional legislative assembly. It is planned that the ban will come into force on January 1, 2026.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the idea of a complete ban on the sale of vapes in the country. The bill was prepared in the State Duma back in January 2022.
