OREANDA-NEWS The growth of trade turnover between Russia and Mongolia in the first 8 months of 2025 amounted to 7.9%, which is a good indicator in modern conditions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
On Tuesday evening, the Head of State received in the Kremlin Prime Minister of Mongolia Gombozhavyn Zandanshatar, who arrived in Russia to attend a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Moscow.
"Our bilateral relations are steadily developing. According to the results of the first eight months of this year, we see a positive trend of increasing trade turnover - plus 7.9%. I must say that in modern conditions, almost 8% growth is, in general, a good indicator," Putin said during the meeting.
He recalled that in June, an interim trade agreement was signed between Mongolia and the members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
"I really hope that this will not only be a good sign, but also create good conditions for expanding our trade and economic ties," the Russian president continued.
