OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Magadan before meeting with American leader Donald Trump in Alaska, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the head of state will inspect landscaping and industrial facilities in this region, as well as hold a conversation with Governor Sergei Nosov.

"Then he will go to Alaska and start Russian-American affairs," he said.
The distance between Magadan and Anchorage is about three thousand kilometers, or almost two thousand miles, in a straight line. The flight time between the cities is about four hours.
