OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is ready to cooperate with any politician and party if it does not contradict the interests of the country and the world, but for interaction with the current President of Moldova, Maya Sandu, there must be a desire on her part, said Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs. The politician told about this in a conversation with Lenta.ru".

"I think her commitment, the commitment of her Action and Solidarity party towards the European Union will continue. We need to work with the masses from below. (...) It is necessary to work with Moldovans. Moldova is a brotherly country, we understand, and people understand that it will be very difficult to survive economically without our cooperation," said Chepa.

He recalled that Sandu's party won the parliamentary elections with a minimal margin. In his opinion, manipulations had to be resorted to to create an advantage.

"It's nonsense when a person going to the polls says that if I win, then fine, but if I lose, then the elections will be annulled, as recently in Romania. All this greatly influenced the results," the deputy believes.

Earlier it became known that the party of the current president Maia Sandu, Action and Solidarity (PAS), was able to retain the majority of seats in parliament following the election results. In total, according to the results of the verification of 99.87 percent of the protocols, 50.15 percent of citizens voted for it.
