OREANDA-NEWS Moscow stands for genuine equality in international relations, not for its perverted form. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Rudenko, the correspondent of " <url>".
"We are in favor of genuine democracy and equality in international relations, and not their perverted form, which was expressed at the time (English writer, author of the story "Animal Farm" — approx. "The tapes.<url>") George Orwell: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others," the diplomat said.
Rudenko stressed that Russia stands for justice and respect for the cultural identity of states. According to him, this implies a policy of strengthening the role of the global majority in global governance.
Earlier, Rudenko said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has established constant contacts with colleagues from the Persian Gulf countries, including his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi. The diplomat stressed that Russian diplomats are working with everyone in real time.
On March 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian discussed developments in the Middle East. The Russian leader reiterated his principled position in favor of an early de-escalation of the conflict.
