OREANDA-NEWS  A 14 km-long protective rampart has been completed along Anapa's main beaches. The final stage is to secure polypropylene nets on it, the operstab of the Krasnodar Territory reported.

All along the coast in Anapa, on the spit between Vityazevo village and Blagoveshchenskaya station and in the village of Veselovka, 23 km of protective rampart was built along the Saline Lake.

The defenses withstood the night storm. At the same time, most of what was thrown out by the sea were plastic debris and fragments of trees, the operational staff noted. Several weak points in the moat design have been identified - they are being quickly reinforced by full-turn excavators.

On October 23, the operstab announced the start of work to restore the protective shaft. The decision was made after analyzing satellite images that showed a spot in the water area. It was noted that it may be an accumulation of petroleum products, in the event of a storm there is a risk of fuel oil being thrown ashore.

The next day, traces of petroleum products were found in the village of Blagoveshchenskaya – in the area of the Malakhit boarding house and the Zhara hotel. Fresh emissions were also recorded on Bugaz Spit, in the area between Vityazevo and Blagoveshchenskaya, as well as in the village of Veselovka near Albatross beach. No oil stains were found in the sea area near the shore.
