OREANDA-NEWS  Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma's financial market committee, told RIA Novosti in an interview that he had been waiting for the Bank of Russia to file a lawsuit against Euroclear for a long time, since the actions of European politicians were absolutely illegal.

"I have been waiting for such a step from the Central Bank for a long time, because these are absolutely illegal actions by European politicians who wanted to lay their hands on something that does not belong to them. All laws, including the laws of international law, are on Russia's side," he said, answering the relevant question.

Aksakov added that the Belgian government understands that any actions related to the seizure of Russian assets will be a painful blow to the one who made such a decision. The deputy is sure that first it is necessary to make a decision in the Russian federal court, and if this is not enough, apply to the world courts.
