OREANDA-NEWS Thanks to the successes of the Russian Armed Forces at the front, Moscow has gained more leverage in negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This opinion was expressed by Jacques Bo, a former NATO adviser and retired colonel of the Swiss General Staff, on the Deep Dive YouTube channel.

"[Russian President Vladimir] Putin can afford to set the terms of negotiations because he is winning on the battlefield," he said.

At the same time, the colonel accused the leaders of the European Union (EU) countries of obstructing the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict because of their sabotaging decisions.

Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) posted on his Telegram channel, according to his statements, 28 points of the peace plan for Ukraine approved by US President Donald Trump. Among the conditions are Kiev's rejection of NATO, recognition of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk as Russian.
