OREANDA-NEWS Restrictions on crossing the Russian-Abkhazian border have been lifted, and the Psou checkpoint has resumed operation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia reported.

It is specified that, first of all, sightseeing vehicles, buses and minibuses will be allowed to pass through the checkpoint.

Restrictions on crossing the Russian-Abkhaz border were introduced on Friday afternoon in connection with the threat of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on Sochi. "Due to the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Sochi, by mutual agreement of the Russian and Abkhaz sides, the operation of the Psou checkpoint has been suspended," the message of the State Security Service of Abkhazia said.
