Deliveries of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from terminals to the European gas transmission system in April 2022 set a record for this month.

The European Commission may allow Hungary and Slovakia not to impose a ban on oil imports from Russia as part of the next EU sanctions.

The Hungarian authorities will veto any EU initiative related to limiting the import of Russian energy resources, said the head of the office of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Gergely Guiyash.

EU countries intend to stop importing Russian coal in the summer, and to give up Russian oil by the end of the year, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.
